God’s Rainbow! Could we be taking it back!?

HIJACKED!

The dictionary definition of ‘hijacked’: illegally seized for one’s own purpose.

No-one illegally seizes like the thief of all thieves!

Satan is the great hijacker!

Satan wants everything that belongs to God (even you if you are His!).

The Rainbow.

It is God’s rainbow, “I set MY bow in the cloud” (Genesis 9:13).

Satan stole it for his own purpose.

But is it being taken back!?

Could anything good come out of the dreadful Coronavirus?

God has turned a curse into a blessing before! And He even brought something good out of the evilness of the Holocaust –  the State of Israel, a safe and permanent haven where Jews can live without fear of persecution.

Could it be, that through people being so touched by the selfless acts of doctors & nurses in the National Health Service (NHS), that God’s Rainbow is being re-purposed… We are seeing children all over the United Kingdom busily colouring Rainbows who are now associating the Bow with kindness, thanks, and selflessness.

In a church service I attended before this pandemic, the Sunday-school-teacher from the platform asked the children a question in preparation for their Sunday School lesson. She asked, Children, what does the Rainbow stand for? There was utter silence as the children looked at one another bewildered & embarrassed not knowing what to answer because the Rainbow was being promoted for something they knew their Christian parents disapproved of.

Satan knew how to get his foot in the door where children are concerned as the Rainbow has always been a fun-loving activity for a child & is usually one of the first things a child colours during its first days at school. But the great thief confused them by stealing it.

My heart was albut broken recently while I was inside a shop waiting for the lift. There was a mother with her little boy of about 6 years of age also waiting for the lift. As we waited the little boy wandered away to look at a toy. It was a a normal child’s toy with all the colours of the Rainbow. With his eyes aglow he ran with it to his mother and said ‘oh mommy please can I have this?’ The mother said,oh no sweetie you can’t have that because the Rainbow belongs to the gay people. “God is opposed to the proud”  (James 4:6).

The meaning of the Rainbow.

In the Old Testament there are several references to God’s Rainbow and it is associated with “splendor” and is used as an image of God’s “glory.” God’s glory is what Satan craves to have.

In Ezekiel, the prophet sees… “the figure of a man with fire and brilliant light surrounding him, like the appearance of the rainbow, such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord” (Ezekiel 1:26-28).

“The rainbow was upon his head and his face shone like the sun” (Revelation 10:1).

“There was a rainbow around the throne” (Revelation 4:3).

The Rainbow was God’s creation for a very special covenant, or promise,“When the Bow is in the cloud I will look upon it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and all flesh on earth” (Genesis 9:17).

But the Rainbow is also a reminder to mankind, “The coming of the Son of Man, will be like the days of Noah”  (Matthew 24::38). “Behold I come quickly(Lit, suddenly) Revelation 12:14.

The Lord’s return will be without further warning… because He has already graciously given warning after warning, yet people are only interested in their own pleasure – as in the days of Noah!

“Be on the alert”  (2 Peter 5:8).

There are 11 more things that Satan has hijacked today, and I have addressed each in my latest book The Skinny Soul. It may take a Revival to retrieve them all from the great thief!
