There’s a Revival!

Don’t get too excited…. there isn’t one. Yet!

But oh how we need one!

When anyone with a stubborn, stony, rebellious unbelieving heart, is totally changed when accepting Chris, I call it a miracle; that’s why I play on the piano most days, one of my favorite songs by John Peterson, It took a miracle to put the stars in place. It took a miracle to hang the world in space. But when he saved my soul, cleansed and made me whole, it took a miracle of love and grace. A revival is when that happens on a grand scale all at the same time.

Dictionary definition of the word, Revival: A restoring. The act of returning something to its former place. A reclaiming. To Quicken. To bring back to life. To resuscitate. A REVIVING!

So according to this definition, when a backslider like the Prodigal son was reclaimed and resuscitated, it was also miracle. So a revival would also be a restoration of backsliders. That’s why I delight in the parable of The Prodigal Son. He was still his Father’s son even though living a long way from his Father’s love. Imagine a revival of all the Prodigals returning! They already know the word of God. They already knew how to witness. So imagine the impact of a resuscitated army for Christ like that! They’d be the new soul-winners!

Nineveh! Nineveh was a vile wicked place, “Woe to the city of blood” (Nahum 3). They were cruel, violent, lacking any conscience, exploiting the innocent, poor, and helpless. And they were always plotting against God, and His people. Like Iran today!

Jonah ended up in the belly of a fish, because he objected on being called to preach in Nineveh, feeling somewhat indignant, that the terrifying enemies of his very own people, would be shown God’s mercy!

(The story of Jonah today would be something like the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu being called by God to go walk the streets of Iraqi (modern day Nineveh) shouting along the streets as Jonah was told to do… “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown”).

The King and the people in Nineveh, believed Jonah, and ‘Sin city’ fasted and repented. What a revival!

We must be praying urgently for a revival. Our countries were established on the principle’s of God, but are now being hijacked by Satanic forces. A revival for me, is seeing Satan humiliated and crushed in our countries and in people’s lives.

People these days are reeling in dismay. They are in shock and fear, and acute anxiety on seeing their once God-fearing countries changing to ones unrecognizable.

Our once great countries are in mourning, “Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted” (Matthew 5).

Oh Lord, ‘comfort’ us by sending a revival.

I am aware of the differing views about a falling away in the end times, which has happened (and some ‘so called’ ministers are to blame for some of it), and how many don’t believe there will be a revival in these last days. But I for one, think disagree and that there will be a ‘last day’ revival, and the crushing of Satan’s strongholds.

(Satan: who seeks revenge for being cast out of heaven. Satan: who hates God and anyone who loves Him. Satan: who hates normal families and everything precious and lovely that God made. Satan: who wants to be worshipped like God is worshipped. Satan: who’s mission is for you to accept things God hates. Satan: who rejoices in evil. Satanists will tell you that their favorite ritual is mocking God!).

God has to get our attention sometimes. So there could be a price to pay for a revival. Such as ww111, a serious famine, a deadly plague, or even Jews abandoning our countries to relocate to Israel, due to persecution. Then our countries would experience poverty like they never imagined, with their businesses and well-stocked shops all shuttered up empty and nothing to buy, because God told them, “In you, all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3. Gen 22:18. Galatians 3:8). “It is He that giveth thee power to get wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18). Sadly, not many realize why our countries are so well-blessed, compared to other countries.

It never used to be like this – but today today people are so taken-up with their own lives, they don’t seem to have time to focus on what’s really happening. Or they feel, ‘well it won’t affect me’. Or as Hezekiah said, “It won’t happen in my day”. (2 Kings 20:19).

“O Lord, revive Your work” (Habakkuk 3:2).

“Will you not Yourself revive us again? (Psalm 85:6).

God bless you, Christine.
